The Michael D. Trainor Memorial Library at Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School is home to over 5,000 books, periodicals, videos, & DVDs. The library subscribes to educational databases that are available for research from home or school. The technology help desk and a printer are available to students throughout the day. Chromebook loans and support is offered through our technology company - Netdemics Inc.
Chaminade Julienne's Library is part of the Dayton Deanery Libraries Consortium. This consortium includes Ascension, Incarnation, Mother Maria Anna Brunner, St Albert the Great, St. Charles Borromeo, St. Christopher, St. Helen, Chaminade Julienne High School and Archbishop Alter High School. The online catalogs for each school can be accessed from the same location.
The Dayton Deanery Libraries Consortium was created by the local Catholic Schools in order to promote collaboration among the schools. Our aim is to reduce duplication of services, help students transition from elementary to high school using the same Library system, and by integrating and focusing on critical thinking and literacy skills in order to support teachers better.
Members have been meeting once a month to discuss best practices, alignment of our programs, and promoting a collaborative and professional working relationship between the schools. Sharing resources such as eBooks between the schools provide our students with more access to materials which they may have not had before.
